Composition

1 g of cream contains: 500 IU sodium heparin and 5 mg dexpanthenol.
Pharmacotherapeutic group and function
Hepan cream is a dermatological preparation from the group of dermatologists and is intended for local treatment of veins and lymphatic vessels.
When heparin sodium is resorbed, it prevents blood clotting and thus protects against the formation of blood clots in blood vessels or eliminates existing ones.
Hepan cream reduces inflammation and relieves pain and blood circulation in the affected area.
The action of heparin sodium is complemented by dexpanthenol, a vitamin that is used topically to epithelialize (softens the skin and accelerates its regeneration), thus reducing its irritation.
Hepan cream is used topically. Apply it to the skin by rubbing it lightly to absorb it well.
Resorption is facilitated by the evaporation of water from the gel on the skin surface, which increases the concentration of heparin sodium and dexpanthenol at the site of application and creates a pleasant feeling of cooling.

Indications

Hepan cream is used in diseased veins, thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, in treatment after removal of immobilization, in sprains, contusions and distortions. It can also be applied to hematomas.
Special warnings
When applying Hepan cream, care must be taken not to get it in the eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds, or on infected skin.
It is applied to diseased veins, hematomas, thrombosis and thrombophlebitis without massage.

Posology and method of administration

Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, apply Hepan cream by rubbing it in lightly 2 to 4 times a day for 2 to 3 weeks.
It is recommended to massage the feet from the bottom up. Fractures and sprains can be wrapped with an occlusive or elastic bandage after the hanos cream.
If no improvement occurs within the prescribed time, treatment should be discontinued. Prolonged use should be supervised by a physician.
