Simple and effective. The Clearblue digital ovulation test is an innovative test for home diagnostics.

The test will quickly detect the increase in LH hormone that occurs 24-36 hours before ovulation and determine when these two are the best days for the possibility of conception or pregnancy.

The Clearblue ovulation test is simple and effective, the result in 3 minutes, over 98% accurate. You can do the test at any time during the day during the expected ovulation.

The two most fertile days begin when a sudden two of the hormone LH or luteinizing hormone is detected. If you have sex during this time, the chances of getting pregnant will be as high as possible.

When to start testing?

To determine the length of the cycle, count the day of menstruation (the first day of full bleeding) as day 1. then continue counting until the day before the next menstruation begins. This number of days is the length of your cycle. If you do not know the normal cycle length, we recommend that you wait at least one menstrual cycle and record the length of that cycle before using the test. If the cycle length varies for more than 3 days, use the shortest cycle you have had in the last 6 months to determine when to start testing.

If you want to start testing without knowing the length of your cycle, we recommend that you start on day 10. However, you may miss a sudden rise in LH because you started testing too soon or too late.

Use the table below to calculate which day you should start testing. You can test at any time of the day, but it’s a good idea to do this at about the same time each day. For most women, it is most convenient to do this in the morning. It is important not to urinate for at least 4 hours before testing, and not to drink too much fluid before testing.

Using the Clearblue test

When you are ready to test ...

• Take the test strip from the protective foil. Use it immediately.

• You must insert the urine into the holder before applying the urine to the test strip. Follow the steps below.

Remove the cap

• Find the pink arrow on the test strip.

Take the test

• Find the pink arrow on the dough holder.

• Align the pink arrows.

• Insert the test rod into the holder until it clicks and the test ready symbol appears.

• Do not use until the test symbol appears ready.

• When the test ready symbol appears, run the test immediately.

• If the ready test symbol does not appear OR if it disappears, eject the test rod and carefully reinsert it.

Take the test

When the test symbol is ready on the screen ...

• You can test directly in a urine stream.

• Place the absorbent portion for sampling, pointing down, in a stream of urine for 5 - 7 seconds.

• Make sure that the dough holder does not get wet.

Wait

• The absorbent portion for sampling should point downwards or be placed on a flat surface. Never hold the test with the absorbent sampling section facing up during testing.

• The ready test symbol will start flashing after 20 - 40 seconds to indicate that the test is working.

See the result

• After 3 minutes, the result will be displayed on the screen.

• If the result is, a sudden rise in LH levels was not detected. Test again the next day at the same time with a new test stick.

• Once you have read the result, you MUST press the eject button and remove the test rod. The test result can only be read on the test holder screen.

• You cannot read test results from the bars on the test strip.

• The result will remain on the screen for 8 minutes.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

My cycle is longer than 40 days. When should I start testing?

If your cycle longer than 40 days, start testing 17 days before you expect your next period.

Do I have to use all the tests?

No. You can stop testing when you notice a sudden rise in LH levels, and save the remaining test sticks and test holder for the next cycle if necessary.

I ran the test, but the test ready symbol did not start flashing. What does that mean?

The test was not performed correctly. The error symbol will appear after 10 minutes of testing. You must repeat the test with a new test stick. See question 10 and " Reusing the test holder ".

I took the test but the result did not show. What does that mean?

Your the result should appear within 3 minutes after testing. If no result is displayed, the error symbol will be displayed after 10 minutes. See question 10.

How accurate is the Clearblue Digital ovulation test?

Extensive laboratory tests have shown that the test is more than 99% accurate in detecting a sudden rise in LH levels. The sensitivity of the test is 40 mIU / ml.

I haven't noticed a sudden rise yet. What to do?

If the length of your cycle changes for more than 3 days, you may need to use several tests to detect a sudden rise in LH levels. However, this may also be due to the fact that you have not yet ovulated this cycle. This is not uncommon, but we recommend that you consult a doctor if there has been no sudden rise in LH levels in the last 3 cycles.

Can medication or medical conditions affect the test result?

• Always read the manufacturer's instructions for use for all medicines you are taking before testing.

• Certain medical conditions and medications can negatively affect the test: If, for example, you are actually pregnant, have recently become pregnant, have reached menopause, or have polycystic ovary syndrome, you may get a misleading result. This is also true if you are taking fertility medicines that contain luteinizing hormone or human chorionic gonadotropin. Talk to your doctor.

• Clomiphene citrate does not affect the tests, but it can affect the length of the cycle and therefore also when the test should be performed. You may need to open a new package and use a new test holder and test sticks to continue testing.

• If you have recently stopped taking hormonal contraceptives, your cycles may be irregular, so wait 2 cycles before testing.

I've been using the Clearblue Digital ovulation test for months, but I haven't gotten pregnant yet. Can I be sure I'm going to get pregnant?

It may take a few months before you become pregnant. There are several reasons why you did not get pregnant, even though you had sex during the most fertile days. If you are under the age of 35 and have not become pregnant after trying for at least 12 months, we recommend that you see a doctor. If you are over 35, see a doctor after trying for 6 months, or if you are over 40, see a doctor immediately.
